It is a bright green delicious condiment. Pronounced with the guttural ‘ch’ as in 'Bach’ - like “schoog”. The taste is spicy in both senses of the word - it’s SO savory and packed with flavor and has an edge but is pretty mild. It’s all about the flavor. A blend of cilantro and chili peppers. I eat it with everything; straight up as a salsa, spice up some eggs, flavor to a sandwich, add to pasta for a spicy ‘pesto’, or a meat or fish rub.
